A PRINCETOWN hotel was listed as one of the best eating houses in the region at the annual West Country Cooking Awards ceremony last week.
Prince Hall Hotel was a regional winner and was honoured with a plaque and certificate at a special ceremony on Thursday at Moorlynch Vineyard near Bridgewater.
The scheme, now in its second year, is promoted by West Country Cooking — a National Farmers' Union-sponsored initiative to encourage the use of local ingredients and local cooking styles in restaurants, pubs, hotels and other outlets.
Although final judging is carried out by a panel of experts, newspaper readers and radio listeners are asked to nominate their favourite haunts.
