CORNWALL Council and Calstock Parish Council are putting together a series of community events to discuss affordable housing needs in the parish and the possible location, scale and design of new affordable housing schemes.

The events follow on from a public consultation exercise undertaken in late 2010 and will include display boards providing information, including what is affordable housing, who it is for, what sites have been offered for new affordable housing development and information for those looking for affordable housing. 

The first event will take place at Calstock Village Hall on Thursday April 21 between 4pm and 8pm, with further events planned in St Ann's Chapel, Harrowbarrow and Metherell. 

Attendees will be asked to fill in a questionnaire giving their views on the provision of affordable housing within their community. 

Representatives from Cornwall Council and Calstock Parish Council will be in attendance to answer any questions.
