A-LEVEL students at Okehampton College are inviting people to join them for an evening of big band music in May.

Students from the music technology course are organising the concert to raise money for their music department.

The first half of the evening will see audiences enjoying music from a big band playing jazz and for the second part of the evening, music will be provided by the Hard Place band —playing 'not quite rock', of which some of the teachers at the college are part.

The band night will take place at the Octagon on Friday May 6 from 7.00pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. For more information contact the college on 01837 650910.
