RETIRED Harrowbarrow School teacher Bryony Woods opened the Harrowbarrow and Metherell Annual Show on Saturday week.

The number of entries increased by 40 from the previous show, and was the most for many years.

Former chairman Bill Gunner was presented with a tankard, and previous show secretary Sheila Gunner with flowers to thank them for their many years of service.

The presentation was followed by a lively auction of donated produce from the show.
