THE award winning Watermill Theatre's touring production of 'Gigolo' — a hilarious new comedy set in present day Stoke on Trent — will be at the Nicholls Hall, Lydford on Wednesday, October 15 at 7.30pm.

Previous productions included The Dreamer, about the life and times of Martin Luther King, followed by Lone Flyer, the story of the pioneering aviator, Amy Johnson.

Gigolo proved to be a huge success when it toured village halls and arts centres earlier this year.

The play follows the lives of three friends, Mike, Paul and Mike's girlfriend Sherry. Mike (an out of work actor) and Paul (a closet transvestite) are strapped for cash so decide to enter into the world of male escorts and become Gigolos, with hilarious consequences.

Things get more complicated when Sherry (a nurse) leaves Mike and falls in love with Paul — and that's not all, she's having a baby! Follow the lives of these affable characters to the sound of a fantastic Northern Soul soundtrack.

Tickets, £5.50 adults, £4 children and concessions, call 01822 820479.
