THE Fishermen's Mission is inviting walkers to join them on their fourth exciting and unmissable annual sponsored Midnight Madness walk across Dartmoor in July.
Each year the route is changed and this year the circular walk of approximately 13 miles, starts at 9pm on Saturday, July 18 from Walkhampton. The walk, depending on stamina and ability, will take about five to six hours.
The route will be across open moorland taking in Leedon Tor to view the evening sunset, Black Tor, Older Bridge and beyond. Teams and individuals are all welcome.
Walkers will be helping the Fishermen's Mission to continue in its work of caring for shipwrecked and injured fishermen, and to provide emergency and welfare support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
