MANY thousands of pounds have been spent on 'enhancing' Okehampton; why could not some of that have been spent on two long-standing and much-needed other 'enhancements'?
Removing the nuisance of the two 'ponds' which occur after rain, the first in the pavement between the post office and the next door residential home. The other is outside the Nationwide Building Society.
The other 'enhancement' is all the rubbish along the path and in the bushes visible when you cut off a corner by walking along the back of the public convenience by St James Street.
If the local council is not allowed to spend their EU money this way, do they not have enough in the kitty?
