TWO Mount House pupils, Zach Spiers and William Partington, travelled to Rugby School in Warwickshire to represent the South of England Prep Schools Barbarians U13s and U11s respectively.
They played against their North of England counterparts, in a match generally regarded as trials for the England team. Both the Southern Barbarian teams won their matches by handsome margins, with the two Mount House boys giving very good accounts of themselves, Zach Spiers playing at number eight and Will Partington at centre.
After the matches, Will Partington was selected to progress to the U11s England Prep School Barbarians. He will represent Mount House and England against the National Schools Rugby Tournament champions, and on a tour of Ireland in March.
