SCHOOLS across Dartmoor and its neighbouring communities have been invited to take part in a free energy and water efficiency workshop.
The event at the national park authority head office in Bovey Tracey on Tuesday, January 27 should help to cut costs while engaging students in the challenge.
Advice on funding and support will be provided by industry specialists with the workshop led by Keith Webber from Okehampton College who has spearheaded an award-winning energy efficiency programme.
South West Water is due to lead a session on improving water efficiency and representatives from Devon Association for Renewable Energy (DARE) will answer queries and provide information packs.
DARE will also provide free follow up in the weeks afterwards.
Schools are asked to send a representative who can feed back to staff and governors.
Authority spokesman Mike Nendick said: 'Book your place. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
'Parking, lunch and refreshments will be provided by Dartmoor National Park.'
To reserve a place email Mel Wright via [email protected]">[email protected] providing details of the attendee and their dietary requirements.
To discuss the workshop call 01626 831069 on Mondays or Tuesdays.
