EMERGENCY repair works will be undertaken to a retaining wall adjacent to the A390 on Newbridge Hill in Gunnislake.

A temporary lane closure and traffic light control will be put in place on the road while the work is being undertaken.

A spokesperson for Cormac said: ‘A section of highway retaining wall adjacent to the A390 on Newbridge Hill has been identified as being unstable. In order to ensure highway safety a temporary lane closure under traffic light control will be put in place to ensure safety for users.

‘The temporary lane closure will remain in place whilst investigations and works are undertaken to initially make the wall safe. It is currently anticipated that a permanent repair to the wall will be undertaken later in the year. We will make every effort to minimise disruption thank you for your patience.’
