TWO of the staff from a Tavistock home entertainment shop shared honours in the Devon County Swimming Champion-ships last Sunday.

Kelly College student Lawrence Oxborough won the 100m freestyle and Matthew Henry took the 200m freestyle title with Lawrence coming in a close second.

The pair then took first and second places in the 50m freestyle 'Skins' event with Matthew taking first place and Lawrence second.

Both are following the elite Kelly swimming performance programme. Matthew is aiming for national selection this year to go to the Commonwealth Games and Lawrence is aiming to win a swimming scholarship at Concordia University in California in September.

When not in the pool, Matthew works as the computer technician at Games and Computers and Lawrence is studying for a BTec in Sports Science at Kelly College. In his spare time, Lawrence runs modelling workshops and Warhammer games at Games and Computers.

Robert Oxborough, managing director at Games and Computers said, 'Supporting our local sports stars is important to us at Games and Computers.

'We should all be proud of Kelly College's and the Town's record in producing international athletes. I know from experience how hard it is for these youngsters to make the grade so we will do our bit to help them achieve their dream.'

Matthew and Lawrence's trophies will be on display at the shop.
