FIVE Chagford based horses and riders recently completed a circuit of Dartmoor — travelling 80 miles in four days. The group raised £6,500 for Cancer Research UK and the Devon Air Ambulance. The riders expressed thanks to everyone who supported them. Boots Bright, organiser of the ride, said: 'Lots of people joined us for sections of the ride and really enjoyed the riding on Dartmoor. 'The pubs we visited also joined in the spirit, especially the Horse and Groom at Bittaford and the Church House Inn at Holne.' She added that the funds are still coming in and the final total is likely to reach around £7,000. The 'Balls and Boobs' fund, which will be donated mainly to research into breast and testicular cancer, will continue to receive funds until the end of June.
