THE children of Whitchurch Pre-School will benefit from having a brand new kitchen next term, thanks to construction specialists Ryearch and other local organisations.

The setting was in dire need of a new kitchen to prepare and store food for the youngsters and a number of organisations pulled together to provide support.

Donations from Tavistock Tesco and Tavistock Lions enabled Whitchurch Pre-School to purchase the new kitchen units, which Ryearch then installed for free after removing the old units.

The kitchen floor lino was provided by Tavistock Carpets.

Pre-School manager Judith Cotter said: ‘The project was a fantastic piece of teamwork which achieved the new facility we so desperately needed.

‘Being supported by these local organisations means a lot to the team who work here — we appreciate it every time we go into the kitchen.’
