EASTER eggstravaganzas are taking place in Mary Tavy and Buckland Abbey this weekend. At the National Trust's Buckland Abbey from Good Friday to Easter Monday a selection of events will occur — its famous Easter Egg Trail and a brand new children's felt workshop. The trail will take place from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Children will be sent on a ramble through the estate to find hidden clues from 10.30am to 4pm each day. On Good Friday, from noon to 4pm, the felt workshop gives children the chance to create their own Easter chick. Then on Saturday (April 7) Mary Tavy and Brentor Community Primary School and the under 5s are joining forces to organise the Easter 'eggstravaganza' at the Coronation Hall. The day will include bouncy castles, an Easter egg hunt, an Easter bonnet parade, make your own Easter cake and guess the name of the Easter bunny. The trail opens at 2pm and the judging of the Easter bonnets and eggs will follow at 2.30pm.
