FOUR exciting activities for children and young people are being held next week at Kit Hill.
The activities from August 9 to August 11 have been organised by Cornwall Council.
The fun begins on Monday, August 9 with a free earth magic session from 10am to noon, which will encourage youngsters to use their senses to explore Kit Hill.
The event starts at the hill summit car park (SX 375 713), and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Then from 2pm to 4pm on Monday children can learn about Kit Hill's 'creepy crawlies' with a free pond dipping session and mini beast safari.

On Tuesday, August 10 there will be an introduction to map navigation and orienteering for young people aged 12 and over.
Cornwall Outdoors instructors will explain the basics of map navigation and orienteering, followed by participants testing their new skills on Kit Hill. The workshop runs from 10am to 3pm and costs £5.
Those wanting to take part will need a packed lunch, drinks, waterproof clothing and either walking boots or trainers. Maps, compasses and transport to Kit Hill will all be provided. Meet at Delaware Outdoor Education Centre, Delaware Road, Drakewalls.
On Wednesday, August 11 children and young people aged 7 to 15 can have a go at canoeing and climbing on Kit Hill under the guidance of Cornwall Outdoors instructors. The day starts from the Kit Hill adit car park (second on the left, SX 3799 7145) and runs from 10am to 3.30pm.
The session costs £20 for the first child and £15 for others from the same family. Participants need a packed lunch, drinks, full change of clothes, towel, wet and dry shoes, waterproofs/wetsuit if possible and a warm jumper.
