MUGENKYO — Europe's foremost exponent of the exciting and dynamic art of Taiko — Japanese drumming — will be raising the rafters at the Wharf, Tavistock, tomorrow, Friday.

This energetic and powerful group studied under top Taiko masters in Japan.

Since returning to Britain in 1994, they have built a reputation for their dynamic and powerful performances at the theatres and festivals in Britain, Europe and Japan.

The group tours throughout the year, with sell-out concerts as far apart as Belfast, Dusseldorf and Osaka, and festivals as varied as Glastonbury and Henley.

They have also been touring an award-winning children's show at schools, have been featured on numerous programmes on national television and radio, and have released an album to critical acclaim.

Using traditional Taiko rhythms, and disciplined development of KI energy, learned from Japanese Taiko masters, Mugenkyo have developed a style of drumming with international appeal.

A feast for the eyes, ears and soul . . .
