ANGATA and the amazing music of Mali will be performing at Brentor Village Hall.

In a dynamic and vibrant display of seriously skilled playing London-based Angata?s music is full of the intricate rhythms of Malinke drumming. These are passed between the four musicians in an energetic yet controlled performance. Using a range of instruments from African xylophone to djembes and hammered dulcimer, they fuse the rich traditions of Malinke drumming and melodies with other musical styles.

Their enthusiasm is infectious and they delight in communicating it to the audience.

Formed three years ago they come from varied backgrounds and have all studied under the master percussionists of Mali and Guinea.

Whether you love to dance or to sit and enjoy the mastery of the musicians, Angata will have something for the whole family.

The performance, on Saturday September 4, begins at 8pm. Tickets are: adult £5, child £3 from Rick Blower tel: 01822 810600
