A NEW DVD about Tavistock's historic Bedford Cottages has proved so popular that the first consignment of a hundred sold out within three weeks.

A second consignment has been ordered and is now available for sale from the Tourist Information Centre (open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday until December 19) price £6.95.

Rod Martin, of Tavistock Museum, said: 'The ten-minute film was made for Tavistock Museum by Denham Productions and funded through the "Discover the Extraordinary" project managed by the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site office. 

'It includes aerial shots of the Westbridge and Fitzford Cottages, as well as location shots of other town groups and the country groups at Mill Hill, Morwellham and Wheal Maria.  There is a narration by Chris Denham.

'The DVD is available in a nice presentation case and makes an ideal Christmas gift.'
