OKEHAMPTON?S first goal came just nine seconds into the game with a stunning shot from Robert Dunn.
Chances continued from both teams with neither giving up. David Smith from Okehampton hit ball after ball perfectly up through the midfield for Sam Appleby to run onto, scoring Okehampton?s second.
A third goal was scored from a corner when Dunn chipped it in. Superb shots from Kieren Alford and Callum Ausden were near misses.
Towards the end of the first half Dunn took the ball round the defenders for his hat-trick.
The second half had much of the same quality as the first and Barnstaple suffered as Dunn scored his fourth.
Okehampton were pushing forward and Jamie Stephens played lovely balls down the line, almost scoring, when he hit a great strike.

THE first half was contested with equal determination. Both teams had several shots on goal, notably Paul Gent, for Okehampton, who had two shots run just wide of the post.
Bradley Ausden worked hard to shake off the defender Colyton put in to shadow him but was unable to find the back of the net.
The Okehampton defenders were crucial in keeping the score goal-less at the half-time whistle with Okehampton?s captain Timothy Doidge making a crucial tackle when Colyton?s striker was heading alone for goal. Okehampton were awarded a free kick early in the second half and William Searle?s shot went over the wall of players but the Colyton keeper pushed the ball over the crossbar.
After increased pressure from Okehampton Andrew Collier broke the deadlock and put Okehampton ahead. Okehampton sealed the match with a lovely cross from Searle which Ausden met on the volley and scored.
