CAKES and refreshments will accompany the annual fundraising duck race at Huckworthy Bridge near Walkhampton this month.

This year the event, on Sunday, September 22, will be hosted by the Friends of Lady Modiford's School who hope to raise a bumper sum to help pupils do some more exciting things this year.

As usual there will be a series of races so there is the potential to win more than once. You can even go in for a paddle to cheer your duck along. A selection of delicious cakes and refreshments will be available to enjoy.

All are welcome to come along to this idyllic beauty spot at 2pm on September 22.

Parking is extremely limited so come on foot if possible.
