STAFF, children and parents of Walkhampton pre-school had a splashing good time, raising hundreds of pounds from the annual duck race.

The event was held at Huckworthy Bridge and tea and cakes were served on the lawn while ducks raced under the bridge.

Organisers from the pre-school expressed thanks to everyone who attended and helped to raise £875. Thanks were also expressed to local companies for sponsoring each race — Paul Allen Wealth Management, Paul Critchley Civil Consultancy, Burbage Haulage, Jonathan Case Builders, Walkhampton Inn, Golf Tee-Time Ltd, Mansbridge and Balment, Turners of Roborough, who sponsored two races, and Sam and Glen for the use of their home once again.
