POLICE in Okehampton issued a search warrant this week under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Officers attended an address in the town early on Monday morning and gained a rapid entry to the home. A search was carried out and as a result a man has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries. Sgt Matt Longman said: ?Evidence suggests that there is a relatively low level of drugs available in the community, but it is something we are taking very seriously and we will act on information we receive wherever possible. ?We encourage people to be vigilant and report any activity that they think is suspicious, particularly large numbers of callers at addresses.?
