Tavistock 2

Isca 4

TAVISTOCK took a few minutes to settle allowing Exeter two goals in the first minute of play.

Some good backfield play by Rundell to George down the wing allowed Cowen to put the ball between the keepers pads, bringing the score to 2-1.

Tavistock's Jeffreys nearly evened the score testing the Isca keeper with a great reverse strike. Some more good hockey by Tavistock gave Jeffrey's a shot on goal which was neatly placed in the bottom right corner to level the score to 2-2.

However Isca took the lead once again, just before half time. Isce began the second half strongly, but Tavistock responded well, playing good hockey and dealing with the pressure. They made some strong surges forward and nearly found the back of the net on a couple of occasions.

However it was Isca who increased the lead to make it 4-2.

For the rest of the match both teams battled hard, but Tavistock were unlucky not to come away with points.
