TWO events will be taking place within the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this month. The first is ?The Silent River Tamar? ? a peaceful river trip with Saltash-based TamarSail, taking place between July 15 and 18. The three-hour trip will take people upstream aboard a South West Sailing boat. A guided walk with local archaeologist, Colin Buck, from 2 to 5pm this Sunday, provides the chance to walk and look at two 19th century mines in the Danescombe Valley, and the papermill and sawmill. For more info on the boat trip contact TamarSail on 01752 840599, or for details on the walk contact the AONB on 01579 351163.
