LONDON Marathon runner Dotty Allan was at Bere Alston Primary School last Friday to hand over a cheque for some of the cash raised by her athletic effort. Dotty raised £1,102.30 ? well over her target of £500. The money will be shared between Bere Alston Primary and the neonatal special care baby unit at St Michael?s Hospital, Bristol. Bere Alston School plans to buy a range of sports equipment that can be used by all pupils. Dotty thanked everyone for their support. ?It was worth all the training in the snow, sleet, rain, ice and wind to finish on the day,? she said. ?However, without the support of friends, family, running buddies from BATs and Tavistock Athletics, work colleagues and the villagers of Bere Alston, this figure would not have been achievable, so thank you all very much.?
