LAKESIDE, at Roadford Lake, will be hosting a charity fashion show and sale of quality pre-loved ladies' clothing and accessories next month, to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Lakeside Visitor Centre, which for nearly ten years has brought alive the heritage of the Wolf Valley and the history of Roadford dam.

Staff are encouraging people to donate their unwanted good quality clothes and accessories for the 'Lakeside Collection' fashion show.

A spokesman for South West Lakes Trust said: 'If you have the odd dress, skirt, blouse, jumper, coat, shoes, or scarf that you wonder why you bought or have hardly worn — current, vintage or even designer — that you'd be happy to donate to raise funds for this excellent cause. We would also be pleased to receive any donations of bags, costume jewellery or even hangers for the items to be displayed on.'

The evening will take place from 6.30 pm to 9pm on May 8 and will include guest models and compere, followed by the opportunity to buy (at bargain basement prices) not only the fashion show items but also, we are confident, an amazing selection of good quality items in a totally relaxed atmosphere.

Donations are welcome at Lakeside, Roadford Outdoor + Active Centre or the SWLT head office in Launceston. Alternatively, they can be passed to any SWLT employees.

Tickets are on sale now at a very reasonable price of £5 which will include a welcome drink — one lucky person will win a special prize in a ticket prize draw.
