NEW footpaths to the highest natural waterfall on Dartmoor were opened last Friday at Lydford Gorge. The woodland trails offer walkers an alternative route along the old Great Western Railway line to the base of the 30m high Whitelady Waterfall. Roger Murray-Leach, who made a donation to the National Trust for Lydford Gorge in 2005, officially opened the paths. The donation was on behalf of his charitable trust 'The Number 14th Trust' in memory of his late aunt Mary Watson.
