TORRIDGE District Council has completed a local consultation on its proposals to introduce dog control orders.
The council has taken on board the comments made by the 514 respondents, and a report is going to a special community and resources committee meeting on Tuesday, October 9, and is open to the public. The dog control orders will be the only agenda item.
Chair of the community and resources committee Cllr Barry Parsons said: 'The council aims to achieve a more flexible and effective approach to the control of dogs that exists under the current system of byelaws.
'We've had a very good response to our public consultation and everyone's comments have been noted.'
The meeting starts at 1pm in Bideford Town Hall.
