A woman in Salisbury has contacted the Times in the hope of reuniting a family with a collection of photographs which could be of sentimental value. Rachel Davies has a collection of about 15 black and white prints of northern Dartmoor, the Ockment Valley and other locations in the Okehampton area. The prints are believed to have belonged to an artist and printmaker called P E Rose and were taken between 1985 and 1993. Many feature children playing. Mrs Davies said the children would be in their 30s now, and she would like to hear from anyone from the Rose family who may have originally owned the prints. She made attempts to trace the Rose family in Okehampton, but as she had no luck with that, had decided to try an appeal through the local press. Mrs Davies said the portfolio of pictures were given to her father, who lived in Cambridge. Anyone with any information about the prints can contact Mrs Davies on 01722 714440.
