BIDDING to sing their way to stardom were Peter Tavy's own version of the Von Trapp family from the Sound of Music. The Buncle Family Singers are rising in fame after being selected to be judged on Simon Cowell's programme 'Britain's Got Talent'. They sang the well-known 'Do Re Mi' song — in costumes made of curtains — at the preliminary stages of the show and were selected out of 25,000 people to go through to the judging round. Unfortunately, when the family arrived in London nerves got the better of the Buncle children: Holly, 9, Joseph, 8, Minerva, 7, and twins Isaac and Daniel, 5. Mother Michelle Buncle, said the children were so nervous and she claimed judge Simon Cowell did not help the situation. Said Michelle: 'He made them so nervous and wasn't nice to them at all. But I think they did so well to perform in front of the thousandstrong audience – the audience was great. 'We were chosen out of 25,000 people to go through to the judging rounds of the programme and we did very well to beat them. The children were so thrilled to meet Ant and Dec who are presenting the show – they were lovely.' The children managed to get their own back on Simon Cowell as Holly did an impression of him for the programme – pulling her black leggings up to her armpits. Michelle's sixth child is only 18 months old but was with father David when the group sang. The show is a search for Britain's next best amateur talent act. It will feature singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, contortionists, ventriloquists and other talents of all ages. Britain's Got Talent is ITV1's newest talent show where there are absolutely no rules — any talent, any age. The show is scheduled to appear on ITV1 during April 2007.
