TALENTED musicians from Tavistock College entertained an appreciative audience during the school?s Easter Concert last week. The concert featured a variety of performers who played a wide range of music, including classical, rock and jazz ? new at this year?s event was the appearance of guests like Blowzone and the Stannary Brass Band. Colin Eves, college principal, said the diversity of the performances was good to see, with some of the college?s talented rock bands playing as well as classical performers, all to a very high standard. ?A highlight was JassBry, who played jazz style pieces,? said Mr Eves. He was pleased to see a strengthening of the links between community groups like Blowzone and the brass band. ?I was also extremely pleased to see many of our invited guests were able to spare the time to come, including the West Devon mayor and town mayor and many members of the town and borough councils. ?The breadth and quality of the performances bodes well for the future music development at Tavistock College and means we can all look forward with great enthusiasm for the Park Life music festival on July 2.?
