IT was a disappointing start to the season for the Okehampton Ladies. An early penalty could have given them the lead but unfortunately hit the post.

Central scored their first goal shortly afterwards and were then awarded a penalty that they successfully put away. Central took control and scored another before half time.

Okehampton at times played some good football, with Michelle Vaughan and Karen Fuell connecting well on the left wing.

Regrettably no goals came from these advances.

The home team took advantage and put four more in the back of the net. Okehampton's Micky Burdus battled well on the right hand side of defence and rightly deserves the manager's player of the match.
