SHEBBEAR College students held a lower school disco in aid of the tsunami appeal recently. Christopher Goode set up professional sound, lights and smoke, and acted as DJ. All who attended enjoyed the evening and £137 was sent to the appeal, adding to the £1,800 already raised. History at the U3A Okehampton branch of the U3A is meeting again on Wednesday, February 23 at 2.30pm in the Ockment Centre. Tavistock local historian Gerry Woodcock is at present investigating some of the life stories behind the names on the town?s war memorial and will share some of his discoveries with members.
