THREE new directors have been appointed by Dartmoor National Park Authority following two retirements. Suzanne Goodfellow, Chris France and Lorna Brown bring a wealth of experience to the authority and will work closely with the National Park officer, Nick Atkinson, to take the authority forward into a fresh and challenging era. Suzanne will be director of park management. She has worked in landscape conservation on Dartmoor for many years. Chris is director of planning and sustainable development from his similar role with Exmoor National Park Authority. And Lorna has been appointed as director of corporate services. She was formerly head of social care for adults with Oxfordshire County Council. Lorna brings her 30 years of experience in local government. The review of the National Park management plan is starting and the new directors will be focusing on extending the many successful partnerships on Dartmoor, and greater engagement of local communities in delivering National Park purposes.
