Tavistock Tigers 3 Dartmouth Dinosaurs 4 TEN-MAN Tavistock played a Dartmouth team seemingly set for promotion. Far from Dartmouth having it all their own way Tavistock made a great game of and at no time did it become obvious that they were a player light. In the first half Tavistock used the young legs of Doney, Cowen Jr and Ali to keep Dartmouth at bay, as chances for both sides were few and far between. Tavistock took the lead, following good work from Firth who put Cowen Jr through, his initial shot was well saved but he made no mistake with the follow up. Dartmouth equalised from a short corner which was turned in from close range. The defence of Cowen Snr, Costello, George and the outstanding Pollock rebuffed wave after wave of attacks as Dartmouth threatened, and just before half-time they took the lead. This forced Tavistock to change tactics at half-time. The defence went down to three, allowing an extra body to join midfield. As soon as the second half began the attacking instincts of the Tigers immediately brought them level, Cowen Jr again latched onto a through ball from Gaspar and, in a repeat of his first goal, scored with his second attempt. Rather than sit back Tigers took the lead with the game's best goal. From the defence, George played the ball to Honey who in turn passed down the line to Cowen Jr. He turned inside and crossed to Ali at the top of the D, he laid the ball off to Doney who calmly waited for the keeper to commit  before lifting the ball over and into the net. With ten minutes remaining Cowen Jr almost completed his hat-trick but missed the far post by inches. Dartmouth went straight up the other end to level again through an own goal. With five minutes left, Dartmouth grabbed the winner when a cross from the right was swept high into the Tigers' net.
