AS the Poppy Appeal organiser for Tavistock I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who contributed to last year's Poppy Appeal which raised over £11,000.  This year we are commemorating the start of the First World War, 100 years ago, and in doing so I hope we can all dig deep to raise more funds than ever before.   There will be poppy collection boxes all around town with various badges, pins, wristbands and other items available.  Should you require wreaths or larger items for remembrance services or displays please contact me directly as I have a variety of products available.  The Times has agreed to print a photograph of the best dressed shop window alongside details of the top three collectors and the total amount we raise together as a community. If you have pre-ordered a wreath I will be in the Royal British Legion office above the Tavy Club on Monday, November 3, Tuesday November 4 and Wednesday November 5 from 11am to 2pm and Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8th from 8.30am to 4.30pm for wreaths to be collected.
