PGSOB 4

PGSOB are vying to finish top of the league and after nine minutes took the lead over Tavistock by converting a penalty corner. Six minutes later effective passing finished with a second goal. Another penalty corner was followed up and pushed past the keeper to make it 3-0.

Just before the half time whistle a PGSOB attack saw a backstick strike with a stroke of fortune somehow ended in the net past keeper Neil Kelly's ear in the visitors goal.

Tavistock, bolstered by three new faces this week — all young and fit — played a hard second half. Dave Richards was outstanding in the left midfield. Sam Stanbury showed himself to be a natural defender and brother Dom Stanbury slotted naturally into the midfield.

The team's hard work paid off and no more goals were conceded.
