JOHN and Denise Short celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on April 6 with family and friends.

In lieu of presents, donations were made to the South West Children's Hospice, raising a total of £215.

The couple expressed thanks to everyone for their contributions.

Mr and Mrs Short were married at St Mary's Church, Mary Tavy on April 6, 1953 and continue to live in the village today.
