DEAR oh dear, I seem to have upset Mr Graham Reed in last week's Times. His letter gives the impression that, 'how dare me, a humble peasant, have the impertinence to criticise a public servant like Mr Clegg'. I can assure you I could have easily picked upon other public servants who are incompetent, but he was the only one who was silly enough to take on Mr Farrage on TV. He was made to look what he is, a professional politician in the bubble of Westminster, out of touch with reality. The other two leaders were not as stupid. Mr Reed, if you look at the last election results, you will see that many thousands were thinking along the same lines as me. The public servants in this government and the last ignored the infiltration of 'religious nutters' into our schools in the Midlands, even though they were warned many years ago. We will all pay the price (except the public servants of course). It was too difficult to sort out wasn't it, but hey! let's charge for plastic bags, that's easier to do. I've read my letter of last week, again and for the life of me I can't find it peppered with distortions. Mr D P Hunter Tavistock
