IT?S lights, camera, action for budding young film-makers from Bere Alston who will have their movie shown at a prestigious national film festival next month. Pupils from Chelfham School will have their film, ?The Demented War of the Redstone Valleys and the Coopervilles?, screened at the Co-operative Young Film-Makers Festival at Bradford?s National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. The entry was one of 100 chosen from more than 220 productions entered by young film-makers, schools, youth groups, art groups, colleges and video workshops from across the UK and as far afield as the USA and Macedonia. All under six minutes long, the 100 films will be shown over nine screenings throughout the two-day event on October 13 and 14 and include drama, documentary, animation and comedy films along with music video. The festival, which is organised by the Co-operative Group, has provided young people with the opportunity to air their films on the big screen since 1966.
