A WEST Devon Church was transformed by a display of 37 wedding or bridesmaids' dresses dating from 1937 to the present.
The event at St Mary's Church, Lifton, last weekend also included albums and individual photographs, some of which dated back to 1895 and told of local family histories.
Displays of flowers were a delight and their scent filled the building. The local bellringers launched the occasion and gave it a true 'wedding' atmosphere. Members of the congregation served refreshments.
On Sunday evening Mary, Leslie and Camilla Mazur-Park and the Tavistock soprano Rosemary Turner gave a recital with music on the theme of 'Love'.
