MY property adjoins Blenheim Lane in Exbourne, and from time to time I cut the strip of grass between my property and the lane using a power strimmer. On most occasions I have had to remove dog fouling from this area and recently after dealing with four such deposits I commenced the grass cutting. Unfortunately in the longer grass was a fifth ?present? which my strimmer cords came into contact with. I am well aware that the vast majority of dog owners in the village are very conscientious about cleaning up after their dogs, but for that small minority may I ask them to do the neighbourly thing and clean up after their animal. I can assure them that it is not a very pleasant experience when the offending material hits you in the face. May I also point out that dog fouling within the village boundary is an offence. Jon Lloyd 1 Manor Gardens Exbourne I WOULD like to thank all those dog owners in the vicinity of Vixen Tor Close, Okehampton, for allowing their animals to defecate on my front lawn. At the present rate of three deposits per day, each area of 0.0049m square, I estimate that it will need 5,102 defecations to cover the entire front lawn and that this will be achieved in four and a half years. If there is sufficient interest I could be persuaded to provide periodic updates on progress.
