Juventus League U16s

Okehampton Argyle 0

Stoke Gabriel 5

THIS was a good Argyle performance, but not up to the standard set in the last two weeks.

Okehampton often did enough to contain the attacks but lacked flair in the back row which has been the bedrock of the recent improvement. However, chances were created from midfield which, had Okehampton followed through, could have produced a few goals.

Once again, man of the match Adam Griffiths put in a committed captain?s performance, setting the standard. Will Eddy?s last-ditch defending saved Okehampton on a number of occasions, and Phil Evans fought hard up front, linking well with Scott Ditchburn.

This Saturday home to Countess Wear.

Crediton U11s 2

Okehampton continued to play well, which paid off when Robert Dunn collected the ball and shot into the bottom corner of the Crediton goal.

The next Okehampton attack saw Kieran Alford lob the ball over the keeper for his first, and his side?s second goal.

The start of the second half saw Crediton attack Okehampton, putting them under pressure. But this time Okehampton caught Crediton on the break with Alford scoring his second.

Crediton scored a second from a free kick. Despite all the pressure Okehampton managed to hang on and win.
