THE annual fete at the Winsford Centre in Halwill Junction, which was held recently, raised £620.
During the afternoon, trustee John Hawkins officially dedicated a bench in the Winsford garden to the memory of Ashley Pack, a good friend and trustee who died in January 2003.
Amid a fortnight of intermittent rain, the sun shone brightly on Halwill for the fete on Saturday, August 14.
The trustees would like to say a very big thank you to all those who gave their time as volunteers to make the day such a big success.
The trustees also expressed thanks to Philip Walters who generously donated his time and expertise to assist with an antiques and collectables roadshow which proved to be very popular.
Mr Walters has kindly offered to officiate at a charity auction for Winsford in the Parish Hall, Halwill, if enough ?lots? to make the event cost-effective can be obtained.
If you have any items you would like to pledge to Winsford for the auction, contact the charity on 01409 221470. This could be an outright ?gift? or possibly on a 50/50 basis.
Sandra Willetts, Winsford Trust chairman, also thanked the local businesses and supporters who donated scones for the cream tea and prizes for the draw.
