Tavistock College 45
Callington 7
TAVISTOCK recorded their first win at the second attempt as they overwhelmed Callington in a totally convincing display.
For the second match running, Tavistock were without several members of the firsts due to West Devon trials. They were therefore able to give debuts to Wayne Moussali, Colin Smerdon and Adam Williams.
Tavistock started well and continued through the first half to take a half-time lead of 26-7 through a brace of tries each from Louis Adaway and Mark Ewings. Alex Rose added two penalties.
Tavistock continued to dominate in the second half and by the end of the match extended their winning margin to 45-7 points with tries from Colin Smerdon, Jude Rotton and Josh Sutton and an Alex Rose conversion.

John Kitto 6
TAVISTOCK continued their good form with their second successive victory.
With only John Pain and Will Broadbridge unavailable through injury, Tavistock had a near-full squad but started by giving their opponents too much respect and John Kitto took the lead through a penalty.
Later in the half Tavistock began to stamp their authority on the game and James Radford went over for a well worked try after sustained pressure. Against the run of play, Kitto took the lead for the second time, whey they kicked a second penalty to take a 6-5 lead.
In the last minute of the first half a Jude Rotton try, which Alex Rose converted, gave Tavistock a 12-6 half-time lead.
Within minutes of the start of the second half, Jude Rotton recorded his second try of the match, again converted by Rose for a 19-6 lead. After more sustained pressure, Rotton helped himself to his third to make it 29-6 Tavistock.
In the closing minutes, man of the match, Rose danced through the Kitto defence to record his first try of the season.
