EXETER showed the advantages of a team playing regularly together with effective passing, but good defending by Karen Sachon stopped several goals.
Debbie Ough, captain and goalkeeper, had one of her best matches with some determined and effective saves.
Okehampton?s forwards were frustrated in their efforts, although they battled well. Laura Dixon played usefully and intelligently at left half, mainly keeping the right wing out of play. Jo Lock also worked well at centre back.
Exeter were effective from short corners and twice scored through swift and strong strikes accurately placed into the corner of the goal.
Okehampton?s team shows much promise and given more opportunity to play together will give Exeter a closer game when they meet again.
