A MAN who was electrocuted in an accident at Roadford Lake last week has died in Derriford Hospital.

Peter Holt, 50, from Bodmin, suffered a massive electric shock on Sunday July 13, when the mast of his sailing dinghy touched overhead cables.

He lost his battle for life on Wednesday night.

Mr Holt and a teenage boy from Launceston had been pushing the fibreglass boat towards the water when the accident occurred just after 1pm.

The 15-year-old was taken to hospital with minor burns, but was released the next day.

A 72-year-old St Austell woman who pulled Mr Holt clear of the boat also suffered burns.

An investigation into the tragedy is being carried out by Western Power Distribution and South West Water, which owns the reservoir.
