Death of former employee

A FORMER Okehampton Times employee who was a well-known face around the town, died recently at the age of 67.

Penny Cook worked in the advertising department on the Okehampton Times and Tavistock Times, and later worked for the Exeter Express and Echo, Crediton Courier and Woman?s Own.

Mrs Cook had lived in Okehampton for 30 years, before moving to Teignmouth last year.

She was involved in a number of different community activities, including design work to promote the Okehampton Show and the town?s Christians Together group.

Mrs Cook had three children, Christopher, Jocelyn and David, the two younger children attended Okehampton College.
