'SAY, has some wet bird-haunted English lawn/ Lent it the music of its trees at dawn?'

Skaigh Valley will become poet Matthew Arnold's 'bird-haunted dawn' when the annual dawn chorus bird walk leaves Belstone Village at 5.30am on Sunday, May 2, for a two-hour concert of verbal gymnastics from our feathered friends.

Walking boots are recommended by organisers and no dogs are allowed. Breakfasts will be served in the hall when the walk is completed.

All donations received from the event will be for hall funds.
