Okehampton 5

Dart B 0

AFTER a crushing 2-1 defeat to the league leaders last week Okehampton were looking to bounce straight back with a win.

They started superbly by closing down their opponents and forcing them into errors. The first goal came through a short corner, Mark Parsons driving the ball in to give the hosts an early lead.

Minutes after the restart Josh Speak was allowed to run through the middle and pass to an unmarked Parsons who lobbed the keeper to double the advantage.

Okehampton were enjoying themselves and won a sideline right in the bottom corner. Stuart Jarvis, taking it quickly, played a one two with Parsons before flicking in the third goal.

The home side then won another short corner and Speak this time converted, placing the the ball into the top corner to score their fourth goal in 15 minutes.

Jake Lloyd went close as Okehampton continued to dominate, with the opposition defenders doing everything to try to contain the hosts.

After half-time the game became more congested in the middle, as Okehampton piled on the pressure, Luke Miller, Parsons, Lloyd and Simon Bourne all having good chances.

Dart threatened to hit the home side on the break, but excellent defending by Okehampton's back three and sweeper stopped any attacks before they got going.

Bourne thumped in a fifth as they went for more goals, but failed to find the net again before the full-time whistle was blown.

This week Okehampton travel to Plymouth Marjon.
